that is, good ale."
(George Borrow, 1803-1881)

This traditional free house offers two distinctive drinking areas: a lively bar with pool table, and a quieter lounge area complete with the serving hatch from all those years ago. Both of which, are adorned with breweriana.
As a traditional free house that has been in the same hands since 1986,
many local CAMRA awards have been bestowed on the ‘Hole in the Wall’.
We offer Draught Bass and Nottingham Brewery's Extra Pale Ale as regular ales.
Including an excellent range of ever-changing ales and ciders.
We are part of a locale brew scheme and sell many beers from microbreweries around the country.
We are now members of an exclusive group introduced by Oakham Brewery
OAKADEMY OF EXCELLENCE
that offers a selection of limited edition beers that only members are entitled to.
There is a collection of excellent ales that have created a highly populated fan base,
including Nottingham Brewery's: Extra Pale Ale; Rock Bitter and Legend,
along with Oakham Brewery’s: Bishops Farewell and White Dwarf.
Thank you for your feedback.

WELCOME
Most pubs here in Long Eaton,
Can't be classed amongst the best.
But the hole in the Wall on Regent Street,
Stands out above the rest.
A free-house of distinction,
Family run for many years.
Great clientel, great atmosphere;
Great staff and great guest beers.
I go out for enjoyment,
Because pleasure is my goal.
Nothing gives me greater pleasure,
Than going up the Hole.
